MoFuse Creates Mobile Version of Your Blog: for FREE

July 16, 2008 by Erika

MoFuse is an exciting new app that takes your existing blog and in a couple of clicks turns it into a mobile friendly site for FREE. It pulls the RSS feed from your existing blog, and aggregates it into a mobile blog that is fully customizable and viral. When you set up your account with MoFuse, you are then able to keep track of and add multiple blogs to the service through one account AND fully track all of your mobile statistics and visitors with free mobile analytics.

If that does sound exciting enough, they also offer a 50/50 revenu sharing plan and are partnered with Google AdSense and AdMob. You can fully customize your ad banners and mobile blog through MoFuses admin. This means that you can manage the comments, add additional information, posts and links directly to the mobile site and offers iPhone features that are also easy to customize. You can change the colors, logos and images on your mobile blog as well, all though MoFuse admin.

You can also use the MoFuse subdomain to choose your blogs mobile address OR register your own domain or even use a subdomain of your current blog so it’s easy to remember like: www.mobile.myblog

Check my blog later this week for the last “cool widget” feature of MoFuse, a sidebar widget that lets readers know you have a mobile blog, they can enter their cell# into the widget and it will send them an SMS message with your blog URL.

You can also embed some php code into your Wordpress blog that redirects all mobile traffic to the mobile version of your site, just in case someone is looking for you by mobile without knowing your mobile URL.

I have to tell you that I looked at some of the other plugins and apps that are available right now, and MoFuse has them all beat, and did I mention it’s FREE? If you are NOT taking your blogs mobile right now, with the viral wave of iPhones and mobile web, you are missing out on a huge opportunity.

I invite comments from all of you on this, give them a try and let me know how useful it was for you.

I’m also going to be checking in with updates on this application as I use it for all my blogs in beta.
